<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Memorial services for Carolyn Ann Miller of Morris, MN will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Elbow Lake.&nbsp; Father Jeremy Ploof will be celebrating the mass.&nbsp; A visitation will be one hour prior to the services.&nbsp;Burial will be at St. Loretto Catholic Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carolyn was born on July 1, 1940, at St. Luke&rsquo;s Hospital in Fergus Falls Minnesota.&nbsp; She lived in Wendell, Minnesota, with her mother, Helen Miller, and her father, Ivan Miller.&nbsp;&nbsp; Carolyn enjoyed many good times with her brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and family.&nbsp; Her father died in December 1969.&nbsp; She lived with her mother for several years in their home in Wendell.&nbsp; Carolyn and her mother moved to an apartment in Elbow Lake.&nbsp; She was a good companion to her mother and helped her with many household tasks.&nbsp; In 2009, Carolyn&rsquo;s mother passed away.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carolyn came to live in a Prairie Community Service home in Barrett called Steffen Home in 1999.&nbsp; She quickly fit right in and made friends with everyone. In 2001, Carolyn and her housemates moved a few blocks away to a newly built house, Crosswood Home.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carolyn was always ready to take part in any activity, whether it was a dance, shopping trip, bingo, church or craft show.&nbsp; She was always excited to go places.&nbsp; She loved to go to the Confidence Learning Center every summer. She was a star fisherman and excellent pontoon driver. Her favorite part was singing around the campfire.&nbsp; She knew the words to almost every song.&nbsp; She had the opportunity to go on several trips during the years she was at Crosswood including Florida and New York City. Getting to meet all the Disney characters was a highlight.&nbsp; She also enjoyed activities at home.&nbsp; She loved putting puzzles together, helping in the kitchen, doing crafts, and singing.&nbsp; She could be seen many evenings watching re-runs of I Love Lucy or The Golden Girls and maybe once in a while an Elvis video.&nbsp; Carolyn lived with several of the same ladies for 20 years.&nbsp; Her housemates were like sisters to her. Last spring Carolyn moved to another PCS home in Morris, Ravenwood.&nbsp; She quickly fit right in there and met new friends.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Through the years Carolyn had many staff that assisted her and she held a special place in their hearts. She was never demanding or unkind to anyone.&nbsp; Carolyn always wanted to please people and wanted to do everything right. She had a pure heart and cared for others.&nbsp; When someone was ill or had any problems she would tell them &ldquo;I pray for you.&rdquo;&nbsp; Carolyn will be missed beyond measure.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carolyn passed away on October 12, 2021, at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris Minnesota, with her brother, Larry, and his wife, Bettie, by her side.&nbsp; She was 81 years old.</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Carolyn is survived by her brother, Larry and his wife, Bettie of Stillwater; her nephew, Tom and his wife Maura of New York City, NY; and her niece, Julie Roettger of Stillwater; great-nieces and great-nephews: Declan and Desmond Miller and Mark, Erik, and Anya Roettger.&nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents. &nbsp;</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of arrangements for Carolyn.&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>We want to thank the caregivers and staff at Stevens Community Medical Center for their wonderful care and kindness.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn may be made to Special Olympics or Ravenwood Home.</strong></p> <center><a href="https://portal.midweststreams.com/pdfs/displaypdf/25223" target="_blank"><br><img style="border:0;width:220px;box-shadow: 10px 10px 10px rgba(0,0,0,0.3);margin-bottom: 24px;margin-top: 30px;" src="https://portal.midweststreams.com/pdfs/displaythumbnail/25223" /><br><div style=";border: 1px solid #565656b3;max-width: 400px;width: fit-content;padding: 11px 31px;margin-bottom: 40px;font-size: 18px;margin-top: 1px;background: rgba(255,255,255,0.5);font-family: 'Lato';font-weight: 600; color:#333;text-decoration-line:none">Carolyn's Memorial Folder</div></a><center> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <div class="embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="embed-responsive-item" frameborder="0" mozallowfullscreen="" scrolling="no" src="https://portal.midweststreams.com/services/iframe/25223" webkitallowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
