Mrs. Wanda Jane McKendree, 73 of Murray, KY passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY. Born Sunday, July 4, 1948 in Golden Pond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Major G. Prescott, Jr. and Wilma June (Wells) Prescott. She was the wife of the late Bobby W. McKendree. Mrs. McKendree was a retired hairdresser. Prior to opening her salon, she worked at Fantastic Sam's Cut and Curl in Murray, KY and the Cost Cutter Salon in Benton, KY. Surviving are son, Jeff Clendenen, wife Vickie of Springfield, TN, brothers, Ronald Prescott, wife Sharon of Murray, KY, Jack Prescott, wife Sherry of Aurora, KY and Mark Prescott of Wagoner, OK, sisters, Janice Holland, husband Charles of Murray, KY, Lynn Prescott, companion Tim Jerrolds of Murray, KY and Jeannie Solomon, husband Gary of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Zachery Clendenen, wife Alexandra of Hendersonville, TN, Clay Clendenen of Springfield, TN; great granddaughter, Averie Louise Clendenen of Hendersonville, TN. Mrs. McKendree was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Joe Prescott, Bobby Prescott and Ricky A. Prescott, sisters, Ann Kaiser, Betty Prescott and Sue Prescott. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 15, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY with Bro. Richie Clendenen officiating. Interment will follow the service. No public visitation will be held. Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY is in charge of arrangements.
