Clazina "Claus" Pauline Schouten

<p>Clazina &ldquo;Claus&rdquo; Schouten, age 89, of Blaine passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, October 11, 2021 in Bellingham. She was born to John &amp; Adrianna (DeWilde) Lagerwey on August 31, 1932 in Shepherd, Montana. Claus loved spending time with her family especially following all of their sports and other activities. She enjoyed playing pinochle and other games. Claus worked all of her life in the Customer Service field, mainly at Walton and Montfort Thriftway in Blaine, Banking and the Blaine Drug Store. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Schouten, son Brian Schouten and 12 older brothers &amp; sisters. Claus is survived by her children,&nbsp;Sharon Schouten of Birch Bay WA, Wayne &amp; Val Schouten of Blaine WA, Mike &amp; Kim Schouten of Minden NV and Barbara Wehrs of Woodinville WA; grandchildren: Troy Olason, Ryan &amp; Deanna Schouten, Nicole &amp; Marc Brown, Krisha Schouten and Angela &amp; Nate Rogers; Great Grandchildren: Kyle &nbsp;&amp; Amber Olason, Olivia Olason, Ashlee &amp; Jack Larter, Bryin Schouten, Trenten Schouten, Adrianna Thomas, Kylie Thomas, Courtney Brown, Brian Brown, Katelyn Brown, Tyler Rogers and Micaiah Timm; great great granddaughter Hadley Olason; sister in law Jolene Lagerwey, sister in law Shirley Lagerwey and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. &nbsp;An open house celebration of her life will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Blaine Harbor Boating Center, 235 Marine Dr. #2, Blaine, WA 98230 from 1:00 PM &ndash; 4:00 PM.&nbsp;</p>
