Christine M. Drury Obituary

Christine M. Drury, 86, of Black Creek Township, passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2021 at her home with her family by her side, following a brief illness.

Born in Mocanaqua, December 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Evan) Kobosko.  Upon their marriage in 1956, Chris and her husband, Mike, moved to Manville, NJ to raise their family of six children and thoroughly enjoyed watching their family grow.  They eventually retired to their beautiful Sugarloaf, PA home and spent the past 27 years there, along with visits to their Florida retreat at Golden Acres in the winters.  They enjoyed cherished friendships from Manville, NJ to Dunedin, FL and Sugarloaf, PA.

Christine was a retired Administrative Assistant for Johnson & Johnson, Somerville, NJ.  She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.

Christine enjoyed many hobbies especially doing jigsaw puzzles, card games, and visiting with friends, and in earlier days, organizing tremendous family reunions in Sugarloaf with her sister, Maryann, and participating in Dunedin, FL events.  But her greatest loves were her cherished relationships with every family member including husband, kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her precious sisters, the entire extended Kobosko and Drury families across the country and very special friends Holly Hanisak and Gil Gleco.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Michael, Sr., who passed away July 21, 2001; a son Michael Jr., July 24, 2019; a brother Charles Kobosko Jr.; and two sisters Marge Augustine and Betty Tearpock.

Surviving are five children, Kathleen Mazewski, Mooresville, NC; Patricia Marko, East Windsor, NJ; Sharon Thomaszfski, Jacksonville, FL; Timothy Drury, Manville, NJ;  Kim Szymanowski, Pipersville, PA and daughter-in-law, Renata Drury, Saylorsburg, PA; thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren (and one on the way); three sisters Ann Castelli, Solon, OH; Maryann Sivilich, Dallas, PA;  Joanne Young, Wasilla, AK, and numerous precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
