Malinda L. Knebel Obituary

Malinda L. Knebel, 81, of Royal Center passed away at 11:35 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on March 30, 1940 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Alberta (Wooters) Mansfield.

She was a 1958 Royal Center High School graduate.

On July 19, 1959 she married Kenneth Knebel.  He preceded her in death on May 17, 1986.

Malinda retired from the Cass County Highway Department where she worked in the office for several years.  She also formerly co owned Knebel Insurace with her husband, Ken.

She was a member of Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center and was a 50 year member of the Royal Center Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children, Michael Knebel of Royal Center and Brenda Knebel of Tampa, Florida, grandchildren, Kyla Knebel of Baltimore, Maryland and Anthony Knebel (Jordan) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and great grandchildren, Kayla, Layla and Jensen, former daughter in law, Karrie Knebel of Culver.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard Mansfield and John Mansfield and sister, Mary Alice Funk.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Burial will follow at Royal Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Baptist Christian Church Youth Group.
