William "Bill" Allen

William “Bill” Allen, 72, of Alpena, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. Bill was born March 10, 1949, in Alpena to the late Clarence and Bessie Allen. Bill was a lifetime resident of the Alpena area where he loved to hunt and fish. He was always eager to take the grandkids out on the boat for some fishing and was at his happiest when he was with family, especially his grandchildren. Bill could come across as gruff at times but without question he had a good heart. He will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his three children, William Allen, Jr., Brian (Jill) Allen, Kevin (Lea Verville) Sytek, three grandchildren, Emily and Jenna Sytek, and Dominic Freese, and two brothers, Clarence “Jake” Allen, Jr., and Rex Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Allen, and his son George Allen. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at McWilliams Funeral Home from 2pm until the memorial service at 4pm with Pastor Joe Collins officiating. Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
