Vera Acosta, 79, of Highland Beach, FL passed away October 10, 2021. A resident of South Florida since 2006, she is survived by her beloved husband, Charles, of 60 years, loving children; Maureen (Patrick) Toal, Sean (Debbie) Acosta, Colin (Stephanie) Acosta, Kathleen DeMartino, grandchildren; Samantha Acosta, Stephany Acosta, Megan Acosta, Natalie Acosta, Salvatore DeMartino, Antonio DeMartino Jr., Sabrina DeMartino, Christina DeMartino, Joseph Toal, Matthew Toal, Ryan Toal, Patrick Toal Jr., Shari Cali-Manko, Sean Acosta Jr., Shannon Acosta, Syndie Acosta, great-grandchildren; Blair Toal, Maeve Toal, Ellison Toal, Isabella Toal, Zoe Cali-Manko, and Harper Cali-Manko. Vera’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a retired registered nurse and loved being a nurse. Vera enjoyed traveling, cruises and playing the slots. She will always be remembered for being proud of her Irish heritage and for being an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. Family will receive friends Friday, October 15, 2021, 3-6pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 16, 2021, 11am at Ascension Catholic Church, Boca Raton, FL. Burial will be held Monday, October 18, 2021, 9:30am at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
