Mrs. Blanche Forbus Pennington, 89, was born in Davidson County on December 21, 1931 to the late Wesley “Buddy” Forbus and Della S. Forbus.  Blanche passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  She retired from Hunter Publishing Co. and was a lifelong member of Grapevine Baptist Church.  Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Samuel L. “Bud” Pennington; two sons, Samuel J. Pennington, Sr. and Kenny L. Pennington and two brothers, Paul and Alfred Forbus.  Surviving is a grandson, Sam “Joey” Pennington (Carla); great-granddaughter, Nikklyn Pennington; two sisters-in-law, Bobbyette Forbus and Flora Ruth Forbus; brother-in-law, Harley “Bill” Pennington; the family would like to thank her “special friend,” Rosa Hawks for her love and devotion to Blanche; also surviving are other friends, Connie Mabe, Mike, JoJo, Mikey, and Michelle Moore.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Comer officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
