Irene Renz

<p>lrene Quenzer Renz passed away on October 9, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.</p> <p>lrene was born on her family homestead near Mound City, South Dakota on December 13, 1924 to Karl and Mary Quenzer. She was the eighth child of ten siblings. She lived on the family homestead until she was married to Philip Renz on November 19, 1944 in Herreid, S. Dakota. Philip and lrene moved to ldaho in 1952 where they farmed for over eight years and then settled in Paul, ldaho in 1961. Irene worked at several different jobs, her last one being her favorite as a school cook for Minidoka County. She worked for 17 years as a cook before retiring in 1993. ln 2016 she moved to Utah to be closer to family.</p> <p>lrene was a member of the Paul Baptist Church for over sixty years enjoying their Ruth Naomi group in her later years. lrene enjoyed sewing, making quilts for her grand and great grandchildren, crocheting, reading, working on puzzles, and baking. She especially enjoyed her family to come and visit her. She was adored by all her grandchildren and fondly called Grandma Great.</p> <p>lrene is survived by her daughters: Peggy &amp; (Richard) Bonwell, Soldotna, Alaska; Gloria &amp; (Dennis)Vega, West Haven, Utah, and Penny &amp; (Jim) Boren, Livingston, Montana. She is also survived by all 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at Paul Cemetery, Paul, Idaho. Friday, October 15, 2021 11:00 AM.</p> <p>The family would like to thank all family and friends for their prayers and would like to thank Elevation Hospice for their tender care.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
