Leona Hall Buchanan, 96, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 11, 2021. Leona was born in Caswell County to the late James Gaither Hall and the late Nealie Fannie Barts Hall. Leona was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, William Wayne Buchanan and her daughter, Carolyn Talbert and her son-in-law, Buddy Nelms and her sister's, Lula Sexton, Lorene Hair and brother, Newton Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Buchanan Nelms, of Mebane; her grandchildren: Jamie Nelms (Wendy) and Cindy Covington (Chris), all of Mebane, Dan Talbert (Kayley) and Scott Talbert (Kristen) all of Durham; five great-grandchildren: Madison and Cruz Nelms, Cole Covington, Brennan and Carrigan Talbert and Miller Talbert; sister, Janie McKinney; son-in-law, Danny Talbert. A graveside service will be held for all family and friends 11 AM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Person Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Nelms, Dan Talbert, Scott Talbert and Chris Covington.
