Avice M. Rodda, 76, OF Villa Park.  Beloved daughter of the late Thomas A. and Avice B. Rodda; loving sister of Dorinda (Richard) Ringhofer; fond aunt of Avelenna (Paul) Melsha and Sarah (Bradley) McGerald; great aunt of Shane, Peyton, and Joseph Melsha and Kayser McGerald;  great great aunt of Gage and Gunnar Melsha.

Avice M. enjoyed her life of being an elementary school teacher.  She taught in New Mexico and Illinois.  At home she was an avid reader and quilter. She was a lover of dogs and cats. Some number of each accompanied her throughout her life. She showed her love of music by playing the piano and singing.  She always had a garden and especially enjoyed pansies and carnations.

Because of COVID 19 pandemic, a funeral is not planned. A celebration of Life service will be held later.  Interment is private and will be in Frostburg, Maryland. Arrangements by Steuerle Funeral Home 630-832-4161
