Margaret Ann May

Margaret Ann May (nee Plitt), age 97, of Naperville, Illinois (formerly of Oak Park, Illinois), passed away on May 31, 2020. Margaret was a proud 1941 graduate of Oak Park-RiverForest High School, Illinois, and upon graduation served in the United States Navy during World War II where she met her late husband, Michael R. May.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. Plitt and Sadie Mae (nee Foley) and her sister, Sally Wells.  She is survived by her three dear children, sons Lawrence May (Caroline), Daniel May (Elizabeth), and her daughter Patricia Hoskins (the late Michael).  She was the dear grandmother of six:  Scott May (Sara), Rebecca Chambers (Greg), Kathleen Potts (Ken), Kevin May (Kathy), Colleen Schuh (Brian) and Patrick May (MaryBeth) and the beloved great-grandmother of twelve Griffin, Grant, Sean, Clare, Oliver, Elijah, Eleanor, Daniel, Amelia, Quinn, Ellen and Sarah. 

 

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private service is planned, with a larger celebration of life service to be scheduled at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Collie Rescue of Greater Illinois, Inc. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital   or
