Al was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Agnes Sievers. Father in Law Michael Hasenohrl. Granddaughter Emma Jochimsen and infant sister. Al had a love of cars all of his life and used his talents in the auto business as a mechanic and later parts manager starting at Clark Motors in 1977 moving on to Jim Buck Motors and later to Warsinske Motors until he retired from the auto business in 2010. Al then began his favorite job of all as the maintenance man at OLQH in Wisconsin Rapids. He used his talents and slight obsessiveness to keep the building running smoothly to include each chair in its exact place, always. Al was lucky enough to work alongside Janeen at OLQH for several years and while he was always telling her perhaps she talked too much - she would often ask if she should stop and he would say “No!” - he loved every minute of it! His greatest love of all was his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren - Boppie to some and Punka to others or simply Grandpa he truly was their HERO, biggest fan and greatest supporter. He was always “secretly” handing them cash and telling them not to tell each other or grandma. Al also enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, watching NASCAR, Football games and deer hunting with his children and grandchildren. The family would like to offer our sincerest "thank you's" to all of our family, friends, co-workers, Fr. Guanella, Parish staff, Ritchay Funeral Home and Dr. Tim Wogahn at Aspirus Doctor’s Clinic for their care, prayers and support over the last several weeks.
