Diane Chafey Posey 

Diane was born on November 30th of 1938 in Neptune, N.J.

She lost her life to Breast Cancer on October 10th of 2021 in Key Largo FL.

Her father Harold G. Chafey, died in World War 2 and her mother Edith Parent died at age 85 in 1997. Diane lived in New Jersey before coming to Florida at age 13. She went to Robert E. Lee Jr. High School and Lindsey Hopkins (Tech) High School.

She leaves behind two children, her son Robert (Liz) and her daughter Julianne Causey, her brother Richard Chafey, her two grandchildren Breanna and Nick (Ashley) Causey, along with her great-grandchildren Miles and Mackenzie Causey.

She also leaves behind her long-time loving companion Bill Belyeu and his children Brenda and Billy Belyeu, along with his grandchildren Kayla, Kaitlyn (Shephard), Kaden and Khloe, and his two great-grandchildren Virginia and Shephard Pinney IV, all of which she loved like her own.

She also had many friends in South Florida and the Keys who were like family to her, Including her longtime girlfriends Sylvia DeSantis and the late Janice Dillard.

Diane worked at Kislak MTG., Financial Federal and NCR for a total of 40 years before retiring at age 62. Diane absolutely loved to laugh and was even known for her loud laugh! In her younger days, she loved playing tennis, dancing, swimming, and most sports. She was a huge Miami Dolphin, Miami Marlin and Miami “U" fan.

No funeral services per her request. Her family will plan a celebration of life in her honor.
