Jonesboro – Elizabeth Rebecca Matthews, 12, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021. She was born February 2, 2009 in Jonesboro. Elizabeth was a student at Westside School. She enjoyed dancing, cheer, tik-tok, football games and loved going to the lake and hanging out with her friends. She was a wonderful artist. She made good grades and loved school. She performed in dance recitals and at the Forum. She was a wonderful help with her siblings. She was preceded in death by her dad, Dougie Matthews; grandfather, Doug Matthews and great-grandfather, Paul Ritter. She was survived by her mom, Stephanie Matthews; her dad, Matthew Stone; five siblings, Kaleb Crossland, James Lundry, Matelyn Stone, Dixie Weaver and Sophia Stone all of the home; grandparents, Becky Matthews of Pocahontas, Rebecca Keisker of Jonesboro and Barry and Stacey Aldridge of Mt. Home; great-grandparents, Joey and Linda Ritter and Bill and Ruth Keisker all of Jonesboro; A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jonesboro with Rev. Kevin Gore officiating. Masks are required at the church. A private graveside will be at Trinity Cemetery in Bono under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kaleb Crossland, James “JJ” Lundry, Eleven Gunter, Montana Neely, Dalton Neely, Jon Snearly and as honorary pallbearers, Paiton Gibson, Langston Slagley and Addy Green.
