<p>Matilda M. &quot;Tillie&quot; Eschman, age 91 of Massillon, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021.<br /> She was born May 21, 1930, in Dover, daughter of the late Andrew and Matilda (Wiegand) Arko.<br /> Tillie owned and operated Sew and Show Viking Shop. She enjoyed sewing, machine knitting, and gardening.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> She was a member of St. Mary&#39;s Rosary Altar Society and Massillon Woman&#39;s Club.<br /> Tillie is&nbsp; survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Peggy) Eschman of Massillon,&nbsp; daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Jeffrey Heitger of Jackson Twp., sister Carol Harper of Massillon, grandchildren Tom Heitger, Dan Heitger, Nicole (Adam) Williams, Shannon Eschman, Sara (Ryan) Wanner, great-grandchildren&nbsp; Preslee, Weston, Elsie and Hudson, and a host of nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> She was preceded in death by parents, her husband of 61 years, Raymond L. Eschman who died in 2014, her brother, Andrew Akro and sisters, Catherine Stroh and Margaret Lou Arko.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /> Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home, Jackson Chapel, 5850&nbsp;<br /> Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio.&nbsp; Fr. Matilda M. "Tillie" Eschman, age 91 of Massillon, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021.
She was born May 21, 1930, in Dover, daughter of the late Andrew and Matilda (Wiegand) Arko.
Tillie owned and operated Sew and Show Viking Shop. She enjoyed sewing, machine knitting, and gardening.  
She was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Altar Society and Massillon Woman's Club.
Tillie is  survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Peggy) Eschman of Massillon,  daughter and son-in-law Catherine and Jeffrey Heitger of Jackson Twp., sister Carol Harper of Massillon, grandchildren Tom Heitger, Dan Heitger, Nicole (Adam) Williams, Shannon Eschman, Sara (Ryan) Wanner, great-grandchildren  Preslee, Weston, Elsie and Hudson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio.  Fr. Michael Seifert will officiate.  
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6 to 8 P.M.  at the funeral home.  
Burial to follow the service in St. Joseph Cemetery in Massillon.  
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, or "Trump 2024 Campaign".
