Gregory J. Gneiser, 66, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac with family by his side. He was born September 16, 1955 to David and Elizabeth (Kreisman) Gneiser in Fond du Lac. On November 12, 1981, Greg married Susan McManus in Edinburgh, Scotland. Greg was a 1974 Graduate of L.P. Goodrich. He served in the US Navy from 1974 to 1980. He worked for BancTec for over 20 years as a computer technician. Greg took early retirement due to the limitations that occurred from Multiple Sclerosis. Greg had a passion for working on his old cars, especially his 1971 Ford Torino. Greg is survived by his wife, Susan; one son, Zach; his mother, Betty; one sister, Debra Peitz; three brothers, Gary (Alison) Gneiser, Paul (Jackie) Gneiser and James (Ann) Gneiser; one sister-in-law, Gayle Bigsby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, David; one brother, David Andrew Gneiser and father and mother-in-law, Roger and Vera McManus. Services: Greg’s family will greet relatives and friends for time of gathering on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division Street in Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Paralyzed Veterans of America-Wisconsin Chapter, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, Suite 306, Milwaukee, WI 53202. “The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Marie and Merredith from Almost Family for their care and compassion given to Greg and us.
