Michael Curtis Hamrick

Mr. Michael “Mike” Curtis Hamrick, 60, of Harrisburg departed this life on Saturday ~ October 9, 2021 in Harrisburg. Mike was born March 20, 1961 in Newport, Arkansas, the son of Thomas Joseph and Yvonne (Hobbs) Hamrick. Mike’s Dad preceded him in death in the year 2000. Mike married Miss Brenda Smith on November 26, 1983 and they have enjoyed 37 years of marriage. The Hamrick family bought the Glissen Service Station in August 1975, making them owner and operator now for forty-six years and three generations of family owners. In addition to the station Mike has been in the cattle farming business for thirty-five years making him a man who enjoyed working! He had connection with both Calvary Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church both in Harrisburg. Mike is also a member of American Angus Association, the nation’s largest beef registry association with over 30,000 members producing the best beef in the United States. He rebuilt a tractor, a dozer, and an excavator, you see his toys just got bigger. Mike was a great husband, father, and Papaw, and a hardworking man. He would help anyone anytime, on call 24/7, and this is the reason his family thinks he is “Master of Many Things.” He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hamrick of the home in Harrisburg, his Mother, Yvonne (Hobbs) Hamrick, one son Christopher (Emma) Hamrick, one brother, Joseph "Joe" (Marjorie) Hamrick, one sister, Sherri (Glen) Leonard, and the sweetest granddaughter, Anna Kate Hamrick all of Harrisburg. Visitation will be at Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home Tuesday ~ October 12, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. with Funeral Services Wednesday ~ October 13, 2021 at 10:00 A. M. at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Bro. Kenny McMahan will conduct the service. These men will serve as Active Pallbearers: Christopher Hamrick, J R Criner, Jason McGee, Marlin Martin, Ralph Hooker, and Mike Hamilton. These men will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Ron Hunter, Billy Joe Williams, J R Taylor, Frankie Lindsey, Larry Paul Lowery, Randy Wigginton, Rodney Sweeney, Paul Rowton, Chris Crews, Dalton Mills, Jeff Armstrong, and John King. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home
