<p>Bennettsville</p> <p>Mrs. Peggy Lynn Sports Smith passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC after an illness. She was 61 years old.</p> <p>Peggy was born in Marlboro County, SC to Claude Chavis and the late Lena Viola Sports Chavis. She was a member of Victory World Outreach Center. She worked as a family court clerk for Marlboro County and served on the management team for Quik Fill. She enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her dogs and her family, especially her grandkids.</p> <p>She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband, Gene Smith; son, Alan Sessoms and wife Pam; daughter, Brandi Sessoms Williams (Andrew); brother, Steve Chavis (Charlene); sisters, Sheila Kirby (Buddy) and Penny McCall (Zannie); grandchildren, Michael Sessoms, Gavin Sessoms, and Kyle Smith; special friend, Karen “Strawberry” Rowland; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her mother listed above; sister, Annette Dixon; grandmother, Alice Sports.</p> <p>A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Victory World Outreach Center, with burial at Bristow Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Blenheim.
