<p>Bennettsville</p> <p>Mrs. Peggy Lynn Sports Smith passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC after an illness. She was 61 years old.</p> <p>Peggy was born in Marlboro County, SC to Claude Chavis and the late Lena Viola Sports Chavis. She was a member of Victory World Outreach Center. She worked as a family court clerk for Marlboro County and served on the management team for Quik Fill. She enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her dogs and her family, especially her grandkids.</p> <p>She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband, Gene Smith; son, Alan Sessoms and wife Pam; daughter, Brandi Sessoms Williams (Andrew); brother, Steve Chavis (Charlene); sisters, Sheila Kirby (Buddy) and Penny McCall (Zannie); grandchildren, Michael Sessoms, Gavin Sessoms, and Kyle Smith; special friend, Karen &ldquo;Strawberry&rdquo; Rowland; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her mother listed above; sister, Annette Dixon; grandmother, Alice Sports.</p> <p>A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Victory World Outreach Center, with burial at Bristow Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Blenheim. Peggy was born in Marlboro County, SC to Claude Chavis and the late Lena Viola Sports Chavis. She was a member of Victory World Outreach Center.
