<p> Richard J. Kasunic, 73, of Mentor-on-the-Lake passed away Sunday October 10, 2021, at Geauga Hospital. </p><p> Born May 18, 1948 in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County. </p><p> Richard was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, graduate of Eastlake North High School Class of 1967, and worked as a member of Laborer’s Local 860 of Cleveland. He loved baseball as well as being a great Cleveland Indians fan. Richard enjoyed working on his yard, especially his grass, liked motorcycles and his Triumph Bike, and was never without coffee, and his dogs, ‘Odie’ and ‘Triumph’ (both deceased).</p><p> Richard was the beloved husband of 44 years to Nicky A. (nee Dudas) Kasunic; loving father of Mindy M. (James) Hays and Melissa A. (Gary) Arms; cherished grandfather of Gianni; brother of Raymond (Marla) Kasunic, and Michael Boyce; and uncle of nieces and nephews.</p><p> He was preceded in death by his dear parents, Rudy and Frances (nee Haffner) Kasunic.</p><p> Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life Service, at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private. </p><p> To leave condolences for the family or order flowers, visit www.MCVfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
