<p>John Paul Wright, 88, a resident of Silver City, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of Sunday, October 10, 2021 with loved ones by his side.</p> <p>John Paul was born in Red Rock, New Mexico to the late Harmon and Alma Wright on June 14, 1933.</p> <p>John was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all. He enjoyed ranching, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.</p> <p>He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Biebelle of Mimbres, New Mexico and Fay Rust of Hobbs, New Mexico; two daughters, Debra Culp of the family home and Donna Munoz of Bayard, New Mexico; one son, Johnny Wright (Linda) of Vail, Arizona; his three favorite grandchildren, Jennifer Wright (Alfred Carrasco) and their three children, Chris Culp (Crystal) and their three children, Quintan Culp (Nicole) and their five children; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; special cousins, Irma Coryell of Bayard, New Mexico, Linda Carr of Mimbres, New Mexico; three special friends, Carmen and Jessica Chacon of Silver City, New Mexico, and David Culp (Sheryl) of Tucson, Arizona.</p> <p>He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, one sister, Irene Swift, special cousins Bob Carr and Frank Wright.</p> <p>Full Military Honors will be accorded to John Paul Wright on behalf of the United States Army and the Silver City Marine Corps League Gaffney-Oglesby Detachment #1328&nbsp;at Fort Bayard National Cemetery on Friday, October 22, 2021 at one o&#39;clock in the afternoon.&nbsp;</p> <p>Honorary Pallbearers are his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.</p>
