Julie Marie Hawan, 94 of Wilkins Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021. Julie is survived by her sister Josephine Cianciotto, her sister in Christ and life-long friend of 54 years Rita Rose Vucic, several nieces and nephews, and her devoted caregiver and friend Deanne Duchek. She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Blanche Hawanchak and her four siblings Mary, Helen, Mike, and Roseanne.  

Julie worked as a teacher for 37 years and appreciated being part of her student’s educational journey. She belonged to the Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville. She was a faithful servant to the Lord throughout her life. Julie never wavered in her devotion to the Father, her faith, and the Blessed Mother Mary. Julie spent 54 years of her life with her sister in Christ and friend, Rita. Their bond and friendship were strengthened throughout the years that their families were united as one.

A mass will be held in her memory on Wednesday, October 13, 10:00 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville 4202 Old William Penn Hwy, Murrysville, PA 15668. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville in Julie Hawan’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.
