Lester Minix
Lester Minix, age 80, of Albion, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2021, from renal failure and Alzheimer's. Lester was born January 15, 1941, the son of Clyde and Icie Minix. Lester was a family man and loved his home in Michigan and in Kentucky. When he wasn’t in the kitchen whipping up cakes and other confections, you could find him out in his garden or singing in church. Lester knew no stranger; everyone was his buddy. Lester is preceded in death by brothers, Donald (Olivia) Minix, Alvis (Geneva) Minix and Harold (Sharon) Minix; sister, Joyce (Robert) Davis; and brothers-in-law Carlus Jackson, Tom Brown, and Leon Davis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Minix; daughters Marla Newsome and Lisa (Ron) Nance, and son Tim (Teresa) Minix; grandchildren Jessica and Justin (Kelsey) Newsome, Shannon and Wesley Nance; great grandchildren Madison Newsome, Rylinn Hale, Aidan Stairs, and Aurora, Lynnox, and Easton Newsome; brothers Hager (Brenda) Minix and Doyle (Marcella) Minix; sisters Helen (Jack) Mullholland, Charlotte Jackson, Iris Brown, and Doris Ann Davis; sister-in-law Olivia Minix.
