Nancy Lee O’Neal Payne Papen, 81
Nancy was born January 12, 1940, to Frances Virginia Connor and James Irving O’Neal,
she gained a second father, John Berry later in her childhood. She passed on October 
9, 2021, peacefully with her daughter, Tracy Boyer and grandson, Michael Payne by her
side. 
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Frances and John Berry, Irving O’Neal, 
husband J.D. Payne, sister Suzie Coulston, brother James O’Neal, grandson, Cory 
Payne, granddaughter Kayleanna Riddle.
She is survived by husband of 24 years, John (Jack) Papen, sister Marianne O’Neal, 
Sons, Richard (Lindsay) Payne of Charlotte NC, Jeff (Debi) Payne of Richmond VA, 
Ron Payne of Charlotte NC and daughter Tracy (Chris) Boyer of Wyoming DE. 15 
Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren. After marrying Jack, she gained a bonus family.
Jeff (Debbie) Papen, Karla (Eric) Crossan, Leslie (Dave) Turney, Jacqueline Ramos. 8 
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral Service Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, 12 Noon at  Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Rd, Dover De. Viewing will be from 10-Noon.  Interment in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. Gathering to follow burial at Wyoming United Methodist Church.
