Julia Ann Spencer

JULIA ANN SPENCER, 88 years of age of the Home Creek Section of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Grundy, VA. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Callie (Stiltner) Spencer. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. She was a loving aunt, sister and daughter and was a wonderful homemaker. Julia enjoyed reading, working puzzles and listening to the radio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Clarence, Ernest and Homer Spencer; sisters: Kathleen Mulkey, Phyllis Mulkey and Ervine Kincker. Those left to cherish her memory include 3-Brothers: Robert, Melvin Jr. and George Spencer all of Home Creek, VA; 2-Sisters: Linda Phillips of Cleveland, OH, Nancy Funk of Phyllis, KY; and a Special Nephew: George Spencer Jr. and his family Cynthia, Courtney, Hannah and Jace all of Mouthcard, KY. Also, survived by several other nieces and nephews left to carry on her memory. Friends may call at the Home Creek Old Regular Baptist Church Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services for JULIA ANN SPENCER will be conducted Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Home Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Jimmy Stacy, James Wright and Other Preachers of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy, VA is honored to serve the family of JULIA ANN SPENCER.
