John Lewis Ruble, Jr.

John Lewis Ruble, Jr., 83, of Buckhannon passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born in Worthington on July 25, 1938, a son of the late John Lewis Ruble, Sr. and Evelyn Louise Ruble. In addition to his parents, John was preceded by one sister, Alice Swisher. On November 7, 2018, John married Luz Francisco Ruble. She will miss him dearly. Forever remembering John’s loving and hardworking nature is his wife, Luz Francisco Ruble; three children: Kathy Shackleford and husband, Gene, of Weston, John E. Ruble of St. Charles, MO, and Timothy Ruble and wife, Vicki, of Wentzville, MO; three stepchildren: Tracy Schimone, Becky Schimone, and Buddy Schimone; three grandchildren: Cameron Ruble, Ava Ruble, and Zackary Samples; and one brother, Aaron S. Ruble, of TN. John graduated from Weston High School in 1956. He was a glasscutter for several glass factories in the area such as Louie Glass, Colonial Glass, and WV Glass. John was a member of Sand Run Baptist Church and also attended The Way of Holiness Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, and watching television. Family and friends will gather at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 with Funeral Service following at 6 p.m. in the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. John’s request for cremation will be honored at Pat Boyle Funeral Home’s On-Site Crematory.
