NEW BEDFORD-José T. DosSantos, 71, of W. Wareham, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Magda F. (Fernandes) DosSantos and son of the late Delfim and Arminda (Torres) DosSantos. Born in Povoa de Varzim, Portugal, Mr. DosSantos immigrated to New Bedford in 1976, resided in Fairhaven and the last 2 years in W. Wareham. He was a parishioner of the former St. John the Baptist Church in New Bedford. He was employed as a machine operator in the textile industry until his retirement. His family includes his wife; his daughter, Andrea Campos and her husband, Antonio Campos, III of W. Wareham; his brother, Rui DosSantos and his wife, Nady of New York; his sister-in-law, Maria O. Abu-Raya of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Campos and Sophia Campos; nieces and nephews, Patricia, Paulo, Ary, Rodrigo and Bruce and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. His funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10:00 A.M.
