 Glenda L. Murphy, 45, passed away at home on Friday, October 8, 2021. She was born in Catskill, NY on February 17, 1976. She was predeceased by her father, Wilmer Start. She is survived by her husband, Dan, her daughter, Amanda, two sons, Daniel and Jacob, her mother, Debbie Start, her sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Bill Mattot, her brother, Greg Start, and also several family members.

Glenda worked as a school bus driver for Windsor Central School District since 2006. She cared very much for the students she drove to school and her coworkers. She has been a member of Bethel Chapel for several years, where she played the guitar during Sunday service. Her family grows and sells pumpkins at their home along Route 7. To friends and family, Glenda was always known for her bright smile and sense of humor. She had a lifelong passion for horses and horseback riding. Through her time at Bethel Chapel, she became passionate about guitars and hymnals. She loved being outside with her animals and gardening. The family appreciates all the love and support provided by Glenda’s friends, family, coworkers, caregivers, and the community.  

Funeral services will be held at Bethel Chapel on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:30AM. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple St. Harpursville on Friday, from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Chapel 3486 NY RT 79 Harpursville, NY 13787. Online condolences may be made at www.omaddenfh.com.
