Elizabeth Ann Gill Obituary

Betty passed away at home lovingly surrounded by family on October 8, 2021 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Don B. Gill Sr. for 53 years. Loving mother of Michelle Lievois (Chris) the late Don B. Gill, Jr (Valerie) and the late Beth Ann Blanchard (James). Dear Grandmother of Bradley Gill, Brian Gill, Jenney Ayn Gill, John Gill, Christopher Lievois, Hannah Lievois, Ted Lievois. Great Grandmother of Wyatt Bradley Gill. Devoted sister of the late Edward Andel and sister-in-law of Nancy Davies (Darrell), Lesley Bodary (James), Sherry Gill. Betty was Born May 2, 1944 and was the youngest child of Eleanor and Jerry Andel. Betty married the love of her life, Don, in 1965, and had three wonderful children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Betty was a proud graduate of Immaculata High School and University of Detroit Mercy College. Betty found her professional calling as a registered nurse, working at Beaumont Hospital for many years. It was no surprise that Betty made nursing her vocation as she was a caring, kind and nurturing person to the core. Betty loved her family and friends with a most generous heart, and she was most grateful for the friendship and care provided by Pamela Campbell in the last years of her life. She was a woman of deep faith which saw her through many difficult times in her life. Over the years she was an involved parishioner at both Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and St. Regis Catholic Church. Betty loved spending time with family up north in beautiful Suttons Bay. It was truly her happy place. Betty will be missed by her many friends and her dear family. Family will receive friends Friday, October 15, 2021 from 10:30am until the time of Mass at 11am at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln Rd., Bloomfield Hills. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to Brother Rice High School or Angel’s Place. ~Lovingly written by the family.
