Jeffery Jerome Coleman

Gaston, SC:  Jeffery Jerome Coleman, 59, formerly of Saluda, SC, transitioned from this life into eternal rest, Friday, October 8, 2021, in Lexington Medical Center.

He was born in Saluda, SC, raised by and grandson of the late Sam and Bertha M. Etheredge of Saluda, SC; co-parented/father of Twanna C. Anderson with Jamella Anderson of Cokesbury, SC; husband of Linda Faye Nickerson Coleman; son of Sallie Bell Etheredge Coleman and the late Maxie Lee Coleman, born on October 6, 1962.

At an early age, he joined Branch Hill United Methodist Church and later in life he joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he sang on the choir and served on other ministries. He worked as a machine operator a Greenwood Mills during his working life. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, cooking, traveling, dancing, having a good ole time (life of the party), making new friends (never met a stranger...lol), serving the Lord, being and incredible father, loving and supportive brother, and loved himself some Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Gamecocks.

Jeffery received his education in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina where he graduated from Saluda High School in 1981 and he received a certificate in Welding from Piedmont Technical College.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy S. Etheredge.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory; his mother, Sallie Bell Etheredge Coleman of Saluda, SC; his only child/daughter, Twanna C. Anderson of Largo MD; his wife, Linda Faye Nickerson Coleman of Saluda, SC; half-brothers and half-sisters of Washington, DC; uncles, Reverend Dr. Ernest (Gwendolyn) Etheredge of Blythewood, SC, Charles (Sarah) Etheredge of Saluda, SC Sam (Kimberly) Etheredge of Newberry, SC; Melvin Etheredge of Greenwood SC and Aubrey "Lorraine" Bosket of Columbia, SC; two aunts, Annie Lee Etheredge of Gaston, SC and Rebecca (late Willie) Etheredge of Saluda, SC: one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law; two known nephew, Brandon Etheredge of St, Louis, MO and John Etheredge of San Francisco. CA; and nieces, other relatives, church family and dear friends.

A Celebration of his Life will be 12 Noon Friday, October 15, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Ground.

All Viewing will be11 A.M. to 12 P.M. Friday at the church.
