<p>Cassie Ann Brockie-Shambo&nbsp;</p> <p>Nii&#39;iiih</p> <p>(Some Kind of Bird)</p> <p>Our beloved daughter, grand daughter, wife, sister, aunty, cousin, niece and friend began her journey to be home with the Creator and passed loved ones, on October 6th, 2021 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana.</p> <p>Cassie was born July 17th 1985 to Fern Elizabeth Martin- Brockie and the late Morris Michael Brockie Jr in Havre, Montana. Her maternal grandparents are Margaret June Bell-Martin and the late Harold James Martin Sr. of Hays. Her paternal grandparents are the late JoAnnn LaValley-Brockie and the late Morris Michael Brockie Sr., also of Hays. She was a proud A&rsquo;aniiih woman that was named &ldquo;Some Kind of Bird&rdquo;. This name was given to her by her Great-Grandmother Cecelia The Boy.</p> <p>Cassie was raised on the family ranch, which was located in the foothills of the beautiful Little Rocky Mountains, in Hays. She had attended elementary school in Lodge Pole. She then attended jr. high and high school in Hays where she eventually graduated&nbsp; as an honor student on her mother&#39;s birthday, May 18th, 2003. She then moved to Havre to start her academic career at Montana State University- Northern to study Elementary Education. She had a passion working with children and using her artistic skills to inspire others. Cassie wanted to be an art teacher just as her father Mike had done for many years. Havre is where she started her family with her husband Cody Shambo. Cassie had known Cody since she was 15 years old, they were later married on May 5th, 2006.</p> <p>Due to a former illness at an early age Cassie was not expected to have children. Yet, she was blessed and gave birth to her first miracle baby boy Damon who was born on September 17th 2004. Her beautiful one and only baby girl Shailee was born on September 20th 2006. Her special baby boy Landon was born on October 10th 2009. Cassie&#39;s children meant everything to her.</p> <p>Cassie was raised to be family oriented. She was taught by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles to put family first and live our traditional A&#39;aniiih ways.</p> <p>Cassie is survived by her husband Cody, children Damon, Shailee, Taliyah, and Landon. Her mother Fern (Scott). Her grandmother Margaret June, Her sister&#39;s Allison, Tiffany, and Curry (Monty), and baby brother Logan (Shayla). Her neices Tatum, Raven, Kara, Aleciah, Layla, Rebecca, Emma. Her nephews Teaunce and Louis. Cassie had many more nieces, nephews, adopted children, aunties, uncles, adopted parents, grandparents, great grandparents and many close friends that she loved dearly. If we have missed anyone we are deeply regretful and apologize.</p> <p>Cassie Ann will be missed dearly for her beautiful spirit, bright smile, loud and crazy laugh that was infectious and would have anyone laughing and smiling right along with her. Her sense of humor that is humbling and full of light-heartedness, her motherly nature that made everyone feel at home. Cassie had a positive attitude about life that she shared with everyone she met. In the presence of her beautiful energy you would feel good about yourself and life. And you could not know Cassie without knowing her fiesty side that kept you on your toes and made you feel protected. She had great strength and tenacity that she exuded in every day life. Everyone who knew Cassie knew that she loved to keep up on herself and always look on point. Her hair was always in curls or straightened and styled. Her clothing always stylish and had a 90s and early 2000&#39;s nostalgia that she loved. And of course her infamous accessories including her &quot;J-Lo shades&quot;, beanies and bucket hats, and a fabulous bright red lip.</p>
