John T. Wern Jr.

<p>John T. Wern Jr., 76, of East Liverpool, passed, Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Salem Regional Medical Center.</p> <p>Born, February 17, 1945, in Concord, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late John and Bertha Dustin Wern.</p> <p>John was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1964 and he graduated from Kent State University, where he obtained an associate degree. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Motor Sargent during Vietnam.</p> <p>During John&rsquo;s younger years he enjoyed working on antique cars and woodworking. He was a dedicated and hard worker and put forth this energy as the owner and operator of J.O.B. Construction. John will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and selflessness. He was stubborn at times, but he was a fighter. He was a mason and a member of the&nbsp;VFW Post #2450 in Chester.&nbsp;</p> <p>John will be missed by his loving wife of 39 years, Bonnie Geer Wern; daughter, Carrie McKinney of Chester; son, Patrick Wern and his wife, LeeAnn of East Liverpool; grandchildren, Clayton Wern (Cierra), Trevor Wern, Zachary Bowen, Braxton Carden, Alona McLaughlin, Madison Campbell, and Skipper McNally. He will also be missed by his great-grandchildren, Caspen&nbsp;and Coberlyn Wern, and by his fur babies, Ozzy and Rozie.</p> <p>Pastor Bob Macek will celebrate John&rsquo;s life, Monday, October 11, 2021, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with his family, Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.&nbsp;</p>
