Doris June Edge Norman, Oklahoma Obituary

Doris June Edge

God called one of his angels home on October 6, 2021. The heart of our family, Doris Edge left us peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones. Doris was born on June 27, 1942 to Billy Williams and Delia Duke. After the loss of her mother at an early age, many of her aunts stepped in to help her father raise her. Years later, she found herself in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met the first love of her life Robert Caswell Jr.

A few years later, they welcomed twin daughters and eventually decided to move to Oklahoma for the wide-open spaces. Upon arriving in Norman, they welcomed their third child, a son. After several years in Norman, her beloved husband Robert passed away. Time passed and Doris met the second love of her life, Dr. Jodie Edge along with his four sons and one daughter.

In the following years, Doris and Jodie traveled around the world enjoying time with family and friends. Doris’ biggest love was her Catholic faith and her church, Saint Thomas More. Doris enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, sappy movies and especially her Scotty dogs. Doris recently became fascinated with current space exploration and going to Mars since she had already witnessed astronauts landing on the moon. Doris loved history and lived through many historical events.

She is survived by her son, Karl Caswell; his children Sara and Gabe; two daughters, Yvette Caswell; Laura Bell and son-in-law Paul along with their two sons Robert and Jared; Christopher Edge; Steve Edge and his wife Veronica; Sherri Edge and husband David; Mark Edge and his wife Bobbie, and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris will be truly missed but this is not really goodbye. The heart of our family is gone but we will surely see her again one day.
