Jerome Dale Waters

Mr. Jerome Dale Waters, son of the late Earl Waters and Ora Mae Waters, was born October 02, 1956 in Kinston, North Carolina. Jerome departed this life on October 02, 2021 at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey. Mr. Waters, though born in North Carolina, spent the majority of his life in Newark, NJ, the city where he attended Central High School. After high school, on October 17, 1974, Mr. Waters signed into the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on December 09, 1977. He was a proud veteran and spent his years on the USS Kalamazoo (AOR-6). After serving three years in the Navy, Jerome enrolled into Essex County College for the TV Imaging program. Afterwards, he became a certified heavy equipment machine operator for Bedrock Stone. He then went on to be a contractor for home improvement and demolition work. Jerome also held various other positions. In recent years, Jerome joined a Brotherhood Organization called The Moon Barkers which he greatly honored. Jerome was a loving partner, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and older brother. He leaves to cherish his memories; his lifetime partner Gail, his children Saleena (Alan), JD (Philise), Shabria, Solomon, and Shaylah, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, two aunts, one sister-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
