<p>Yvonne (Trabulsi) Sawaya, of West Roxbury, passed away on October 7, 2021. She was 94 years old.</p> <p>Born in Lebanon, Yvonne was very independent. She enjoyed working in the garden, tending to fruit trees and herbs and vegetables. She enjoyed going to huflis, and was happiest surrounded by her loving family, cooking all kinds of wonderful dishes, especially sweets around Christmas and Easter.</p> <p>Yvonne was the dear and devoted wife of the late George E. Sawaya. Loving mother of Louis Sawaya and his wife Suzanne, of Walpole, formerly of West Roxbury. Cherished grandmother, &ldquo;Teta,&rdquo; of Jasmine Sawaya and George P. Sawaya. Dear sister of the late Josephine Chahwan and Victoria Harik. Beloved aunt of Elias Harik and his wife Tracey and their children Victoria and Jonathan, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p> <p>Yvonne&rsquo;s Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) West Roxbury. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Per the City of Boston Public Health Commission, masks are required at the funeral home.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, contributions in Yvonne&rsquo;s memory may be made to The Cathedral or to St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).</p> <p>Yvonne will be laid to rest with her beloved George at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.</p>
