Matthew David ‘Matt’ Edwards of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away at Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the age of 37 years. Matt was born in Kamloops, British Columbia on May 18, 1984, he later moved to Canmore, Alberta. He was often referred to as ‘Bear’ because he gave the best Bear Hugs. Many of his greatest life accomplishments include becoming a loving father to Hailey and Jayden, a kind, gentle son and a loyal best friend to many. Some of his other loves included travel, comedy, sports and music. His perfect day would be watching a Leafs game, cracking some jokes, playing some Crib and of course there would be a BBQ with him manning the grill. Matt will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Carl & Dee Edwards, his spouse, Robin and their two children, Hailey and Jayden. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, Leaha and Amy, his brother, Andrew, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A Graveside Service will be held at the Horn Hill Cemetery on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donation’s in Matt’s honor may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
