Shirley D. Allen, September 22, 1932 -October 4, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home in the presence of family on October 4, 2021 at the age of 89. Shirley was born September 22, 1932 in Minnesota. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend to many. She will be missed greatly by us all. In her teen years she moved to Spokane, WA to live near her grandparents. It is here that she would meet her husband of more than 50 years. Don and Shirley were inseparable for most of their lives and where one was, the other was sure to follow. Over the years Shirley loved to sew, bake, knit and fly kites. You could often find her doing one of these things in benefit to her large family, often baking for her grandchildren or sewing something for the next event, she loved to make things. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Donnie, Pat, Julie, Kathleen and her daughter in law Rhonda, her brother Dan, sister Sharon and brother Bill. She will be sweetly remembered by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Allen and her son Michael L. Allen.
