Leonie Harriet Engel Port Coquitlam, British Columbia Obituary

Leonie Harriet Engel

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the passing of Harriet Engel, wife of 60 years, mother (to more than she gave birth to), grandmother, great grandmother, and long-time loving friend to many. Those who knew Harriet and the family well know the important role she played in our lives, she was our matriarch and will be greatly missed. Her bold spirit and passion will be felt and reflected in the lives of those she loved and those that loved her. She loved many things including her dogs, always having more love to give and rescue another. Outdoors in her backyard was her paradise, gardening in her oasis and watching the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She cherished visiting with family and friends and always had the time to spend hours just talking. She loved us deeply and her guidance through the years has shaped each one of us. She is predeceased by her loving son, Tony, and her mother, Rose. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don, her 2 daughters, Dianne (Tamara) and Leeanne, her grandchildren, Sara (Aaron), Teresa (Keith), Ryan (Juan) and Philip, and her adored great grandchildren, Lacee, Bruce, Ava, and Levi. Grandma you are free now, free from pain, free to be with your son, give Uncle Tony a kiss for us. We love you XOXO. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Dogway Dog Rescue Society at: https://www.dogwaydogrescue.org/how-to-help.html
