Megan Leanne Conner Obituary

Megan Leanne Conner, 41, of Brenham, TX passed away suddenly on October 1, 2021, after a brief illness. Her loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and devastated. Megan was born on March 12, 1980, in Houston TX. She attended Cy Falls High School and proceeded to graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2004 obtaining her Bachelor of Social Work. She went on to complete her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in 2008. Having found her true calling, she was a fearless and much needed advocate for the elderly. Through her 12-year career with the State of Texas, most recently as a Joint Training Specialist for Texas Health and Human Services Long-Term Regulatory Services, she established herself as the true fighter and defender she was. Megan is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Wesley and Sally Conner (Pawpaw & Memaw), Sadie Blundell (Grand Sadie), her children - Conner and Sadie, and her biological mother, Barbara Conner. Megan is survived by her one true love and soulmate, Keith Korthauer, Wesley A. Conner Jr (Dad), Gwendolyn T. Conner (Mom), siblings - Wesley A. Conner III and Jennifer E. Conner, along with her uncles - David M. Conner (Liz) and Alan E. Conner. She is also survived by her niece, Kailey Conner, along with numerous cousins, friends and her two Cocker Spaniels, Parker, and Pixie. To her family and friends, Megan was the personification of righteousness, compassion, and justice. Megan had countless friends and coworkers that she called her family. Her infectious laugh, sparkling blue eyes and kind heart will be forever missed. She is irreplaceable and we are blessed to have been a part of her life. Friends are invited to celebrate her life at the visitation on Saturday, October 9, 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Tx 77055. Services officiated by Tim Coman, Associate Pastor, First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, TX, and burial to immediately follow. Memories and Tributes may be found at www.woodlawnfh.com.
