<p>William Allan Johns, 74 of North East, MD, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, September 30, 2021.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Born in Morgantown, WV, on May 4, 1947, he was the son of the late John William and Mildred Lucille (Harner) Johns.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Allan began his career in the U.S. Navy as an Aviator where he later joined the Army National Guard as a Helicopter Pilot. After retiring from the military, Allan became a Civilian Aviation Safety Officer where he ended his long career in flying.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He was a member of the North East River Yacht Club and a volunteer at CASA of Cecil County, MD. Allan enjoyed boating, spending time with his grandkids and working on numerous home improvement projects. He also enjoyed tending to his lawn and relaxing in the tree house.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife: Andrea Johns; his children: Danae Serrano of Rockville, MD and Christopher Johns of Leesburg, VA; four grandchildren: Juliet, Sydney, Atticus and David; siblings: Carolyn Jordan and John Johns both of Wheeling, WV.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to CASA of Cecil County, <a href="https://www.cecilcasa.org/donate-today">https://www.cecilcasa.org/donate-today</a>.</p>

William Allan Johns, 74 of North East, MD, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Thursday, September 30, 2021.

 

Born in Morgantown, WV, on May 4, 1947, he was the son of the late John William and Mildred Lucille (Harner) Johns.
