Martina Maria Darby-Thompson

Martina Maria Darby-Thompson went home to be with her Lord on Friday Oct. 1, 2021, at the age of 74. Rosary and viewing will take place on Wednesday Oct. 6 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 225 S. Spruce St., Kenai. Funeral to follow at 12:00 noon. All are invited to attend. Potluck luncheon to follow at 2:00 pm. Martina was born July 8, 1947, in Newtok, Alaska. Martina Was a lifelong Alaskan resident and resided in Kenai since 1978. Martina was a member of the Kenai Catholic Church Our Lady of the Angels. Martina was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Darby and her second husband Garland Thompson, and by her brother, Frank Tommy. Martina is survived by her two daughters, Roseanne Darby and Sandra Schepis (Joshua Schepis) as well as 12 grandchildren, Darby Bowen, Andrew Schepis, Bradley Samakin, Tessa Wolff, Austin Samakin, Destiny Svenson, Roman Everett, Madison Schepis, Cheyenne Everette, Ransom Hayes, Robert Hayes, Blaze Wilson and six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Samakin, Avery Samakin, Anna Schepis, Malakai Iaulualo, Josie Schepis and Mila Wolff. She is also survived by siblings, Sophie John, David Tommy, Anthony Tommy, Joseph Tommy, Ignatius Tommy, Bessie Tommy and Massa Fairbanks. Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
