Melinda (Fravel) Curtis, 61, of Whiteland, Indiana passed away on September 30, 2021, at her home. She was born on July 3, 1960, in Princeton, Indiana, to Dexter Fravel and Barbara (Dyson) Taylor.

She was a homemaker. Melinda loved to draw and color. She enjoyed going to the covered bridge festival and spending time with her family. One of Melinda’s greatest joys was being a mom and a grandma.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Edward Curtis, of Whiteland; four children, Joshua Cummings of North Carolina, Jennifer Vaughn of Franklin, Jeremy Curtis of Virginia and Jacob Curtis of Franklin; six grandchildren, Kaleb Lizby, Christian Lizby, Colin Cummings, Cameron Kolb, Lainey Curtis, and Oliver Curtis, four siblings, Gary Fravel of North Carolina, Julie Gates, of Alaska, Daniel Fravel of Greenwood; two step-brothers, Robert Taylor of Pensacola, Florida and Scott Taylor of Bargersville; and her stepfather, Bill Taylor of Plainfield.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Wideman.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the service immediately following at 7:00 p.m., at the Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
