Marciana S. “Marci” Chacon, 86, passed away on September 25, 2021 in the comfort of her home in Casa Grande with her family at her side. Marci was born in Austin, Texas to Santiago Serda and Altagracia Hernandez on November 2, 1934. Marci was a hard worker from a young age. She was a devoted Catholic and loving mother. She enjoyed listening to Mexican music on her boom box and dancing. Marci loved spending time with her family and having cook outs. She enjoyed going on car rides and loved making tamales with her family. Marci is survived by her daughters: Irma Jimenez, Patsy Palacios and Mary Romero all of Casa Grande; her sons: Arnold and Gilbert Ramirez of Eloy; her brothers: Jesus and Pete Serda of Eloy and Tony Serda of Phoenix; her sister: Mary Alderete of Tucson; Eighteen grandchildren; Thirty seven great grandchildren and One great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents: Santiago and Altagracia Serda; her son: Joe Ramirez; her sisters: Olga Cevedia, Lupe Tarango and Sylvia Tapia; her husbands: Gilberto Ramirez and Domingo Chacon; and her beloved dog: Pedro. Services will be held on Friday October 1, 2021 viewing at 9 a.m., rosary 9:30 a.m. and mass at 10 a.m. at St Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery with a reception to follow at Memory Gardens, 525 N. Peart Road, Casa Grande.
