FELTON - Sandra F. Scabet, 74, passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Sandra was born in East Orange, NJ to the late John R. and Margaret Caroline (Rude) Kelleher on May 10, 1947. She graduated from Nutley High School followed by Beauty School and worked for S.C.A.R.C. as an Event and Development Coordinator before her retirement to Delaware in 2018.. Sandra excelled at all of her jobs and helped her workmates to make their job easier. She overcame adversity and never stopped growing as a person, she always held her head up high and wasn’t afraid to be herself. Sandra loved her family and friends, and they all deeply loved her. She enjoyed experiencing nature and living life to the fullest which included vacationing in Hawaii, walking in the woods, bird watching, and gardening. She also loved motorcycles even getting her MC License and rode her own Can-Am. This also extended to sports cars as she had a Corvette and two Camaros. She loved cooking for her family and holiday meals with large crowds. She also loved reading and playing Words with Friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Cohen this past July. She is survived by her husband, James W. Scabet, Jr.; daughter, Mishell Cohen; son, Joshua Cohen; brother, Roy Kelleher, and his wife Judy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be private.
