A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch for Mary Wanda Guidry, 52, who passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 5:38 P.M. at her son’s home in Church Point. Rev. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ from Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Edmund Catholic Church Cemetery in Branch. The family has requested visitation to be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 8:00 A.M. until time of services all at St. Edmund Catholic Church Cemetery in Branch. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Edmund Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Unique Guidry of Lafayette; one son Joshua and wife, Brittany Guidry of Church Point; her fiancé, Michael Bellard of Church Point; one sister, Christine Fontenot of Branch; five brothers, Joseph Guidry, Jr. and wife, Betty of Rayne, Michael Wayne and wife, Virginia Guidry of Church Point, Paul Edward and wife, Donna Guidry of Branch, Christopher and wife, Renee Guidry of Rayne, Larry James and wife Tori Guidry of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Jay’Von, Ja’shalyn, Jazyre and Michaela Guidry. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Guidry, Sr. and Lilly G. Guidry; two sisters, Norma and Barbara Guidry.
