Marie Anastasia Theresa Case, age 73, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away September 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Marie graduated from St. Hubert’s Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, PA. She retired from the Franklin Mint in Media, PA as a payroll coordinator/telecommunication specialist. Marie was a huge supporter of the Claymont Community and very active in the Claymont Falcons Youth Organization and Claymont High School.

Marie is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marie (McShane) Jones and her older brother, Gerald Jones.

Marie is survived by her loving husband, best friend, partner in crime of 53 years, William “Bill” of Claymont, DE; her 3 loving sons, William “Billy” of Sewell, NJ, Thomas “Tommy” of Wilmington, DE, John of Claymont, DE; and her daughter in law, Nicole Frost Case, also of Claymont, DE.  Marie had 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Shayna, Samantha, Alana, Christopher “Chris”, Katrina “Trina”, Mackenzie “Kenzie”, Megan, Trista, Rebecca; and 10 great grandchildren; She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Senderling of Homosassa, FL; and her godson, Richard Senderling of New Port Richey, FL.

“Mama Case” was loved, appreciated and respected by many who lived in the Claymont Community.  She opened her home to all; she opened her loving arms and heart to all who came through the door into her home.  She impacted and guided many who entered her life and home, she positively motivated all of them to always respect others.  She would feed every child that entered her home whether they were hungry or not.  She was a loving, caring woman to anyone who was in need. She will be missed by all!

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.
