Cheryl Lynn Nicol

CHERYL LYNN NICOL 68, of Deford, died following a brief illness Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw. She was born July 11, 1953 in Flint, the third of five children born to Bernard Stanley and Ardith Jean (Kemp) Raymond. She married Charles Russell Nicol on September 29, 1979 in Elkton. Cheryl graduated from Reese High School in 1971. She loved breeding and raising pugs. She wished she could have kept them all. Cheryl was skilled at creating beautiful wired jewelry with various gems and stones. Crocheting was another hobby that she also enjoyed. Cheryl was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Angel (Mike Landrum) Nicol of Deford; granddaughter, Molly Landrum; siblings: Dave (Sandra) Raymond of Saginaw; Kim Raymond of Deford; Gregory (Rosemary) Raymond of Caro; Deborah Raymond of Cass City; sisters-in law: Christine (Mark) Cummings of Deford; Brenda Blackwell of Deford; Tracy Nicol of Deford; brothers-in-law: Carl (Carol) Nicol of Cass City; David (Dominique) Nicol of Cass City; Mark (Jessica) Nicol of Rochester; special nephew, Brandon Gerstenberger of Snover; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Nancy Raymond; brother-in-law, Alex Nicol. Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating.
