Robert "Bob" Leonard Carlson

Robert “Bob” L. Carlson, age 75, Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Fargo, ND.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Evangelical Free Church, Bemidji. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Fleming Lake Cemetery, south of Palisade, MN between the lakes of Wilkins Lake and Fleming Lake near the corner of 427st and 310 Pl.

Robert was born November 26, 1945 in Aitkin, MN to Lloyd and Rose (Erlandson) Carlson. He married Karen L. Christensen on November 14, 1964 in Palisade, MN. Robert worked as a mechanic with Lakehead Pipeline/Enbridge Pipeline for 38 years then as a consultant for Lake Superior Consulting. Bob and Karen lived in Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin and moved to Bemidji in 1989.

From the note found in his Bible, he started each day with Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Troy (Nicki) of Bemidji and Keith (Tammy) of Becida; daughter, Michelle (Gib) Mouser of Tenstrike; four grandchildren, Brandon (Alice) Carlson Brett Carlson, Cale and Haley Mouser; sisters, Irene Bartz, Iris Weston and Darlene Homoki and brother, Charles Carlson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Wallace, Arnold and Larry.
