Dayle "Jo" Joleen Wiebersiek Obituary

    DAYLE “JO” JOLEEN WIEBERSIEK, age 67, of Worthington, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Sanford Jackson Hospital. She was born January 24, 1954, in Lakefield, to Dale and Barbara (Syverson) Grein. She graduated from Lakefield High School; and later attended college in Marshall.

   Dayle married and unto this union two children were born, Tonia & Chad. The couple later divorced.

   Dayle married Jim Wiebersiek on June 25, 1995, at the Rost Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Round Lake before moving north of Worthington. Dayle worked at Sather’s in Round Lake for over twenty four years before she began working at TSC, which later became Amatech, in Jackson.

   She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Worthington. Dayle enjoyed baking, playing cards and being around her family. She was a very giving person. She was generous and had a big heart.

   Dayle is survived by her husband, Jim Wiebersiek, Worthington; three children, Tonia (Shaun) Kopplin, Brookings, SD; Chad (Tammy) Meyer, Windom; and Jamie Blanchar, Beresford, SD; six grandchildren, Jason Meyer, Chance Meyer, Kenny Meyer, Lilly Meyer, Josie Blanchar and Jersey Blanchar; one great-grandchild, Kayson McNab; four sibling, Miles Grein, Laura (Chuck Oddson) Grein, Eric Grein and Larry Grein; and two brothers-in-law, Don (Kathy) Wiebersiek and Lee (Kathy) Wiebersiek.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Theresa Grein.

   A memorial service will be at 10 am Monday, October 4, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, in Worthington, officiated by Pastor Mark Schreiber. A time of fellowship will one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial of cremains will be in the Rost Cemetery.

   Dingmann Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Worthington, is in charge of arrangements.
