Johnny Morrow Atkinson, age 82 of Douglasville Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.  He was born on August 18, 1939 in Ashburn Georgia, son of the late Samuel Wilburn Atkinson and the late Bennie Livingston Atkinson. Johnny is survived by his wife Jeanette F. Atkinson; children: Cindy (Randy) Schaffer, Steve (Angela) Atkinson, Michael Atkinson, Marie Nix, Donna (Scotty Folds), Denice (David) Johnson;  first cousins: Richard Brown and Walter Monty; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 PM with Reverend Jim Burdette officiating. Interment will follow the service at Meadowbrook Memory Garden, 1100 NE Hickory Level Rd., Villa Rica GA 30180.
